The Brazilian Educational and Cultural Centre is a charitable organisation created to promote the teaching of the Brazilian language and culture primarily to Anglo-Brazilian children living in London. It was funded in 1997 mainly by Brazilian parents who felt the need to offer their children the opportunity to learn their language and develop an understanding of the Brazilian culture.

Our aims are to:

• promote and disseminate information about Brazil and the Portuguese language
  
• foster understanding and appreciation for the Brazilian culture
  
• provide friends of Brazil and families with educational programmes, social events and cross-cultural exchange
